Does anyone know of any metaphysical/alternative type book stores in Dallas? I haven't seen any around, but maybe I'm just not looking in the right places.

I wanna say there was one in the Promenade village off of Coit and Arapaho. I can't remember the name anymore, nor am I even sure it's still around. Maybe it was called "Impressions"? It used to be advertised in the Dallas Observer.

I'll have to look around next time I'm in that area.

That's what I was thinking. I went to some in the FW area a long time ago, but I've never seen any in Dallas. Wonder why?

There are a few in Austin and on in particular that is excellent for books. It's called Whole Life Books and is down on Lamar. There is also one that is really good for statuary. It is called Celebration and is on Guadalupe. Sometime when you're in Austin I could show you where they are. Whole Life is like a Barnes & Noble with nothing but spiritual & metaphysical books.

That would be fun. Austin has much more interesting stuff like that around.

I hope the weather is OK this weekend, it's supposed to rain up here. How are things in Austin right now?

Things are horrible right now. We have freezing rain and are supposed to have snow tomorrow. But... it is all supposed to be better starting Thursday and will be in the 50s over the weekend.

I hope so. It's icy here again this morning, and I'm going to be staying home again.

Ray said he heard on the news that the conditions in Austin are so bad that there is one highway TXDOT won't be able to open until Sunday? Is that true? If so, I won't be going to Austin Saturday!

It's supposed to stay below freezing all day today, and barely above freezing tomorrow. I don't know if the ice will melt enough later today to go into work tomorrow or not.

We had work today. The roads are fine down here. The few places that were still icy seem to have melted today. As far as I know... no more storms until at least next Monday or Tuesday.

Hopefully it will be nice and you can come down!

The roads are fine here now, but we are getting a lot of rain. Hopefully it won't freeze overnight tonight. We're supposed to get rain all day today and tomorrow.

It's raining off & on here too. I looked at the 10 day forecast and we are not supposed to go below freezing during that whole time. I think the lowest is like 35.

In the late 90's there were a metric fuckton, but most of them went under right after Bush came into power. There was one on inwood and maple, there was one on coit and arapaho, there might still be one on coit and beltline, but it was a tiny one.

The www.Labyrinthmetaphysical.com has a few books, but not many. The http://www.mysticmoonmansion.com/store.htm also has a small selection of books. Those were all I was able to find locally.
